She earned an Associate of Arts in New Testament Studies from Bethel Bible Institute in 1970, followed by a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Brooks College in 1972. Her pursuit of advanced theological understanding led her to Howard University School of Divinity, where she received a Master of Arts in Religious Studies in 1999. In 2013, she culminated her academic endeavors with a Doctorate in African American Leadership from Fuller Theological Seminary, affirming her role as a thought leader in faith and culture.
